Press 53 Spotlight: 3 Stories Published

Hey Everyone,

Order up a copy of Press 53 Spotlight!  It’s got five amazing poets and two killer short story writers, and hell they even published three of my stories too.

  • Whorehouse Piano
  • Kingdom Come
  • Rider

On January 23, Press 53’s Kevin Watson organized and hosted an awesome book launch at the Gallery of the Arts in Winston-Salem.  It was awesome, though my reading of “Kingdom Come” had to be smoothed over by generous helpings of white wine 🙂

Montana Prize in Fiction: “Rider”

I recently received very exciting news from Cutbank, the literary journal of the University of Montana.  My short story “Rider” has been selected as the winner of the 2009 Montana Prize in Fiction!

The contest was judged Joy Williams, author of Saving Grace, The Changeling, and The Quick and The Dead. I feel truly honored to be selected for this prize by such a fine literary journal.  Here’s the link for more info:
